Mary Genell - Director:

Mary started volunteering with Jenny at clinics sponsored by Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue and continues to volunteer and support animal rescue efforts with Leech Lake Legacy. Animals are and have always been a passion and she relishes the opportunity to improve the lives of reservation animals and the people who love them.

She and her husband manage a private resort on Rainy Lake in International Falls, Minnesota. In her spare time, she loves to cook and enjoys photographing birds. Other hobbies include completing crossword puzzles, gardening, watching sports, and geeking out about new birds seen with her sisters.

Mary resides on an island in Rainy Lake with her husband, Bill, and their two dogs – The Dude (circa 2007 through LLL along with 20 “siblings”) and Hank.
